Villa Küsnacht
Roof-integrated PVT system for power generation and geothermal probe regeneration — with around 30 per cent less required probe length.

At the villa in Küsnacht, the available roof area was to be used twice over and the geothermal source stabilised for the long term. A compact solution integrating into the existing pitched roof was required.
38 roof-integrated hybrid collectors simultaneously generate solar power and usable heat. The captured heat is returned to the ground to regenerate the geothermal probe.
In-roof PVT system with 12.7 kWp electrical and 28.5 kWp thermal output. The PVT system is coupled to the heat pump and the geothermal probe regeneration.
Thermal regeneration reduces the required probe length by around 30 per cent. Higher source temperatures also improve the efficiency of the heat pump and secure the long-term use of the ground.
